A Bittersweet Goodbye

I WILL MISS ...

the best roomie a girl can ever dream of. my soulmate in shopping, indulgent buffets, bitching, everything!

my sweet spot, my chair, my corner.

I will miss the person who gifted me this as a birthday cum farewell gift.

The way she clasped my wrist when i put the jade bangle on made me tear up like crazy.

I had to blink repeatedly. haha. i'm emo like that.

I LOVE THE JADE BANGLE SO MUCH! one of the best gifts ever!

I will miss the crazy view from my room.

ok, technically this wasn't taken from my room, but it's near enough.

FORGIVENESS

Forgiving someone can be an uphill task or even impossible feat.

This is especially so if the person did something which you are unable to reconcile with, be it an issue of ethics or logic.

As one grows older, I've realised that one either on a sub-conscious or conscious level, will come to realise the importance of extricating oneself from toxic friendships.

Essentially, us human beings are selfish and self-serving. Some, more so than others of course.

So, when one does not get anything other than grief and angst from a frienship, it's time to EXIT.

You can actually liken a frienship to a relationship, if the cons far outweigh the pros, then what is the point of hanging on?

One can choose to take the high road of course, and pretend that nothing has happened and that everything is okay on the surface. But is it really worth all that effort?

So once I have decided that a TOXIC friend has GOTS TO GO. I don't ever look back.

That said, forgiving someone is something which I still gotta work on.

Most despicable acts stem from feelings of insecurity, deep-seated jealousy and fear. People who feel threatened by you would also be prone to committing such despicable acts.

However, sometimes there may be no plausible explanation and the only way to reconcile the said acts is by recognising that nobody is perfect, and some, less so than others.
